That it was. Though she's lugging it around with her now in her pack, which she's most likely going to try wear in her efforts to woo Aras: "Hey, hey! Check out this sword I just happened to "find"! It has your name on it even. I just found it like that, I didn't even go have it engraved or anything!" "So it's shame that everyone's gems and jewelry went missing...hey, you know what I just found for you? All sorts of gems and jewelry!"
This was our most recent session actually; after a week or so in one of the woods of the setting the party finally made it back to the big city of Durden. One of the PCs had made a deal with the mayor, being that a great ball would be held for them in exchange for dispatching the enemy troops that had been holding up in said woods.
Turns out the night of the party the same PC(the draconian) talks to the mayor again and finds out "Oh, we throw one of these every few days or so, for whatever reason" and it turned out to be rather tacky, but regardless the party decided it was time to celebrate not getting killed so it was party time.
So the majority of the group (the old wizard Adgar and his old dwarf friend named Gorg, Ryhar, Aya, and Zou) all go drinking themselves under the table and getting into shannanigans, while Yaridovich continues trying to make friendships and allies with the city elite and Selea and Alahar were out doing the good old knight and maiden dancing. Meanwhile Aras had escorted Fiva to the party after a few mishaps (convincing her that a dress made out of leaves was not a good idea, or that a dress made up of sewed up rags wasn't too good either, and definately not ripping roses out of the royal garden either) and so was deadset on dancing with her; but the silly elf snuck off to partake from the punch bowl herself, so when they got around to it she was rather tipsy.
Leading to pretty much the most incredible critical failure I've ever had to announce: "Oh, so...despite the fact Fiva's wearing a sundress that's above the knees, Aras somehow managed to trip on it."
Meanwhile the rest of the party had taken notice of K'Rena, who was standing in the entrance hallway by herself kind of just watching. One by one they kept asking if she wanted to join in which she refused, though she requested that each of them bring her back a glass of wine. Yaridovich had a fun time of it: "...so why are you still wearing your armor?" "Isn't armor considered fine dress?" "No, not very...well, why do you go out dancing or something other then standing in the corner?" "...I only really know how to stab and kill things." (Which, in gamespeak...yeah, that's true.)
Cut to some two/three minutes after non-stop laughing over the previous conversation; the others kept on with their drinking and after Fiva and Aras both failing each of their skill checks to dance (-1 charisma is rather hard on the both of them); Aras finally took notice of K'Rena and excused himself to check up on her.
He wasn't expecting the some 7 or 8 wineglasses that K'Rena shoved in his face soon afterwards; and with some rather quick talking and advantage taking she managed to convince Aras to leave the party with her to go on a walk. Being the nice guy he is he offered to buy a dress for her as she had none of her own (Fiva having refused the same offer earlier in the night); and with a few seconds of her eyes lighting up she drug him off to the tailor's. After a long stroll back to the ball (and some rather nervous hand holding on her part; which Aras was taken quite aback by) they finally made it back...
And it was then that Aras realized that he had told Fiva that he would be right back...two hours ago. Suffice to say the rest of the night for those three was killed.
Well, as far as Aras went, he managed to get Fiva calmed down with an explantion of "I didn't want K'Rena to feel left out! You know how lonely she is...I didn't realize that five minutes meant two hours!".
Seeing Aras kind of completely ditch her to tend to Fiva, K'Rena stormed off back to her room at the inn.
After the whole event, Aras and Fiva went to go sit at the top of the mayor's mansion (Her favorite thing being climbing on everything), and after a rather heartfelt talk Aras told her he loved her, which she responded warmly to, but when they went in to kiss she pulled back and said she couldn't do it; and left Aras up there to go to bed.
The other PCs and NPCs called it a night after that; but Aras went to go check up on K'Rena, hoping to go have a drink with her and apologize for how horrible the night went. Unfortunately she wasn't in her room, so defeated all around he went to the tavern and spent the rest of the night drinking with the party's good old dwarf named Gorg, pretty much drunk himself into a stupor feeling horrible about how he treated the both of them.
K'Rena, however, snuck out before Aras arrived to her room in order to steal the sunsword she saw earlier; trying to one up Fiva as the wood elf had found him a flaming sword a while back ago (though she realized if she got caught it'd mean pretty much certain death, as the city they're in doesn't care for the dark elves much). With some rather sucessful sneaking she broke into the shop and stole the sword right in front of the sleeping shopkeep; but got caught by a guard as she exited. She managed to run off into the alleys and start roof climbing to escape, though; and once she had gotten away safely she burst down into happy tears while she was holding onto the present, thinking "he's going to love me for this!" while sitting on the rooftop.
Fiva, meanwhile, just cried herself to sleep; and Aras didn't even notice it when he finally came back to the shared room several hours later.
When morning came...the rest of the party was rather chipper; Aras was horribly hungover, Fiva seemed pretty listless, and K'Rena looked rather dead tired but overly excited. Such as leading to your little fanart
